Acceptable use policy

Last updated July 2026

We keep restrictions to a minimum. This policy exists to protect the network and other customers, not to limit ordinary use.

What is allowed

Normal personal and business data use on phones, tablets, hotspots, routers, cameras and IoT devices. Tethering and hotspot use are explicitly allowed and draw on your ordinary allowance.

  • Using your full allowance at full speed, including for tethering.
  • Running the SIM in unattended equipment such as routers and sensors.
  • Using the SIM in more than one of your own devices over time.

What is not allowed

The following are prohibited and may lead to suspension or termination.

  • Reselling the service or providing it as a commercial service to third parties without a written agreement with us.
  • Sending unsolicited bulk email or messages, or any form of spam.
  • Attempting to breach, scan or overload networks or systems you do not own.
  • Traffic designed to disguise its origin in order to evade carrier or legal controls.
  • Any unlawful activity, or infringing others' intellectual property rights.

Sustained extreme usage

We do not throttle and we do not enforce a hidden cap. Your plan allowance is the limit. Where a single line generates traffic so far outside normal patterns that it degrades service for others, we will contact you first and work out a suitable plan before taking any action.

Reporting abuse

If you believe a FlexiFone line is being used to attack or abuse your systems, email us with the timestamps and IP addresses involved and we will investigate.
